I enrolled in NEC Online after a 30 year hiatus. I find the courses very challenging and sometimes intense. The instructors have been great. Out of six classes thus far; only one Prof that was a little anal. I wouldn't recommend more than one class per semester. Being seven weeks of cramming, some of these courses are on steroids. Do the work, get the appropriate grade; that simple! It is a little pricy so be careful. Books are a lot cheaper if you get them yourself used or rented online. You'll save a lot of money doing this.

A great disappointment. Program looks great on paper. Assigned books were woefully out of date when addressing current issues. Instructors were all but absent from required forums, leaving the forums to devolve into chat rooms, complete with pictures of pets, name-calling. Evident political bias in instructors. Students were never challenged to bring rigor to their arguments. Grading was slow with almost no useful critiques and feedback, which was especially distressing given the workload. A painful experience in almost every respect, and certainly not worth the money. I abandoned the program after three semesters.
